How to Choose the Right Niche for your online business

First of all, ask yourself;

1. What do you like doing the most?

2. How do you see yourself in the eyes of others?

3. Do people know you, based on your talent?

4. Your identity?

If you find the answers to these questions then you can easily adapt your writing niche.

If you're a photographer, you like photography. If you're a chef then you like cooking. If you're a student your blog can be regarding your research papers. If you want to be an expert on a particular thing then you can start writing about them.

Your niche depends on three factors.

● Passion

How passionate are you about a topic?

● Knowledge

How much knowledge do you have on that topic? Or do you have the desire to acquire knowledge regarding that topic?

● Marketing opportunity or profitability.

How much scope is there in the market on that topic?

Let's make a list:

1. First, let's see which topic you are passionate about.

Take a pen and paper and make a list based on what you talk about every day and never get tired.

For example, my niche topics are- Marketing, content writing, social media, digital, SEO, movies, health, blog post, article writing fitness, food, traveling, etc.

2. Make a list based on your knowledge.

The topic from which you have the most knowledge related. For example, mine are- Social media marketing, digital marketing, content writing, blog and article writing, etc.

Then match both the lists.

When you match both of them, you will find some things in common. For example, my common niche topics are social media marketing, digital marketing, content writing, blog, and article writing. Now ask yourself Which of these would you like to make your writing career journey?

So, you take such a niche in which you can make your career or you can generate passive or side income and live your passion.

To identify the niche, you need to do 2 things.

TASK 1. Check the potential size of that niche.

Choose 5 words on your defined niche based on what people usually search for.

Let me give you an example.

(a) - My 5 words on "Digital marketing niche".

And the most common 5 words People search for are: Digital marketing training, Digital marketing agency, Digital marketing case studies, Digital marketing career, Digital marketing jobs.

Now go to Google keyword planner. It's a free tool by Google. It's a tool that tells you which topic people search on Google. This tool is very useful.

TASK 2. Go to Google and search "(your niche) best blog in India". For example- "Digital marketing best blog in India". Now you will get many results. And don't be afraid to see that there is a lot of competition. You can become the top blogger in India or the world by starting blogging like them.

From these 2 points, you will get an idea of how many people search for these niches.
